BDE is currently being used. Please close all applications using the BDE & restart the installation
If you cannot find the running task or service that is using BDE you can modify the registry to allow the reinstall to complete:
Click on Start
Click on Run and or
Type in Regedit and press the return/enter key
Open to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Database Engine ensure it is highlighted
Press the F2 key then the End key (get tot he end of the name (Database Engine) and type in Old so that it is now Database Engine Old
Reboot the computer
Reattempt the installation
